Goodbye to My Childhood Home

My parents officially closed on the sale of my childhood home today. It was a bittersweet event. None of us have really lived there for years now (even my parents), but all four of us were raised there and it has always been the house I referred to as "home." It is strange to think that I will never set foot inside again and that another family will be eating dinner and watching TV and swimming and sleeping in "our" house. Goodbye house. You served the Kornegays well!

Said thank you to the house and almost shed a tear when I locked the front door for the last time. God bless the Smith Family. Hope they enjoy living here many years.
