Spontaneous Fashion Show

Doesn't Evie look so grown up in this pic?!

Having ice cream at Kimi's to celebrate Evie having a "pink" day at school.

Evie's Spring Dance Competition

Evie had her spring dance competition on April 16. Her team did a great job and took third place in their division!

Little Moments

Life has been wonderfully quiet and ordinary lately, and I have been relishing the little moments in our daily life where I catch myself feeling perfectly happy and content. Like when ...

Evie gives me this look with her big, brown eyes:

I catch this spontaneous sweetness:

Or this:

Or playing cards in a Saturday night with my honey:

Who makes me laugh:

Or how you entertain a 5-year-old while her sister is at dance practice:

Evie and Daddy

The "I'm Concentrating" Tongue

I hope she never outgrows this trait, just like her dad:

Mallard Family's Cutest Pets

I entered these two pics of my fur babies into UT's Faculty/Staff Pet Photo Contest. Alas, they did not win (they were robbed!), but they are still the cutest pets in the world to me.

A Few Snaps from San Antonio

I was fortunate enough to get to go to San Antonio for a few days in March for a work conference. Though I enjoyed the conference immensely, there wasn't much time for sight seeing. I did manage to see the Alamo so points there, and I enjoyed exploring the Riverwalk area around the hotel. Here are a few photos I took during my trip.

Thr Riverwalk as seen from the lobby of my hotel. It was almost TOO perfect and pretty. Like a Disney version of Texas!

A couple of the Alamo, which I had a view of from the restaurant I had dinner at the second night:

Best meal I had the whole trip was this pork loin and jalapeƱo grits at Boudro's Texas Bistro:

Snapped this on my flight home. It's good to get away, and it's good to go home again:

A Chuck E. Cheese Celebration

On March 19, the girls and I headed to Chuck E. Cheese in St. Petersburg to celebrate Aurora's birthday (Aurora is Ken and Tiffany's niece and so kind of like a cousin to the girls). Needless to say, Evie and Darcy had a great time!

The bumper cars were a favorite:

This was a scary glimpse into the future:

Happy birthday to sweet Aurora!
