"Let me see, Mommy!"

Oh. These children of the digital age. When I was Darcy's age, it took a week to see the photo you'd just taken.

A Light in the Dark

Evie and Darcy each sleep with a little flashlight, mainly so they can sneak in an extra book after I turn out their lights, but also for comfort I think.

Baked these for the Valentine's Day Cookie Exchange tomorrow ...

Easy as Pie Crust Cookies with dried cherries and dark chocolate chips. So yummy. Looking forward to seeing what everyone else brings!

All in a Row

When I checked on Evie this evening before bed, she had lined up and tucked in some of her favorite toys, including Barbie, Ariel, Evert (the pink bunny) and baby doll. I find this so precious.

Another Virus

I took Darcy to the pediatrician today because she has been complaining about her mouth hurting and not wanting to swallow or eat as much as usual. I was afraid it might be her teeth, but it turns out she has another virus that is causing blisters on her throat. Poor little thing.

Otherwise, she has been fine. No fever and she's been playful and sleeping well, so that is good. It was nice to get to have a few extra hours with my babies on a weekday.

Love Note?

So Evelyn has been talking an awful lot lately about her friend Cohen (not sure how he spells it) at after care.Today she came home with this drawing, which says "Love Cowen" at the  top. I am unclear whether she drew it or he did, and not sure how I feel about it either way! Is this normal?

Shooz

Grammy picked Evie up from school today to take her to a dentist appointment (thank you again to Grammy for doing that). They had some time to kill so they stopped in at Wal Mart and Grammy let Evie pick out some shoes for herself (top) and for Darcy (bottom). I love all her choices (and wish the gray sneakers came in Mommy's size). I guess the shoe thing starts young!
