Sisters Playing

Not sure what the game was, but obviously it was supposed to be quite cold!

Day Six & Seven: Home Again, Home Again

We split the trip over two days on the way home, stopping in Kingsland, GA, for the night and enjoying a yummy dinner at Cracker Barrel. No road trip is complete without that, right?

Father's Day 2016

I didn't take any photos on Father's Day, but we had a low key celebration. We went to church and out to lunch, then hung out with the Holts a bit more. It was nice to get to spend Father's Day with my dad this year.

Day Four: Hanging Out with the Holts

On Day Four we hung out at Christie and John's house and enjoyed the beautiful cool weather. We had an early Father's Day fish fry for dinner and Allyson even lost a tooth (her second in two days)!

Day Three: NC Zoo and a Slumber Party

Grandpa and I took the girls to the North Carolina Zoo on Day Three, which was really quite impressive. Allyson spent the night that night, which the girls thoroughly enjoyed.

NC Road Trip Day Two

The girls and I drove up to North Carolina to visit Grandma and Grandpa as well as Aunt Christie, Uncle John and Allyson (Blake had just started a new job so had to stay behind). We spent all of Day One in the car (more than 12 hours actually), but on Day Two we hung out with Allyson at Grandma and Grandpa's house and a local playground.

The Graduate

This morning was Darcy's preschool graduation, and it was so nice! The kids all wore caps and gowns and did the processional. Then they sang us a few songs and received their "diplomas." Mommy and Daddy were bawling through a poem the teacher read about wanting to keep them little, but knowing it is best to let them grow up. It was all very special, and a nice way to end one chapter in Darcy's (and our) life and begin a new one.

Teach the Class

For her last school project of the year, today Evie taught her class how to make Grammy's chocolate chip cookies. Future teacher? (It does run in the family ... )
