Somewhere Over the U.S.

Anyone know why these fields are planted in circles?

Center-pivot irrigation (sometimes called central pivot irrigation), also called circle irrigation, is a method of crop irrigation in which equipment rotates around a pivot and crops are watered with sprinklers.A circular area centered on the pivot is irrigated, often creating a circular pattern in crops when viewed from above.

Thanks for the explanation, Anonymous! I thought it might have to do with irrigation. I just couldn't remember seeing circular fields like that, though I'm not often in the air over America's farmland.
