A Day at the Zoo

The girls and I went to the Lowry Park Zoo today and had a great time wandering around together and watching all the different animals. The girls' favorite things were the giraffes and riding on the carousel. I enjoyed watching the lemurs and seeing all the animal babies (a pygmy hippo baby, two baby rhinos and a baby orangutan).

Thanksgiving Day Ride

A Lunch Date ... And a Little Art

Evie and I had lunch together today at Steak 'n' Shake before a doctor appointment. When we got home, the girls painted Christmas trees. They were not content with green paint and decided to use pink and purple as well. Love their eye for color!

Gone Visiting

Today we visited my aunt and uncle who live up in Clearwater, and we all had a great time. It is always fun to see my girls in a space I loved so much growing up (and still do). Thank you Aunt Chloe Anne and Uncle Hans for having us!

Today was a "stay at home all day" day ...

In the Off Position

Tonight is the first of 10 that I don't have to set my alarm. Woot!

(Of course, I have two other little alarm clocks that are sure to wake me before I want to get up, but they offer a much sweeter wake up call.)

Update: Despite the alarm being off, my eyes STILL popped open at 6 and that was that. Sigh. I am getting old.

Thank God it's Friday! I am exhausted after a very busy week at work. I'm looking forward to spending time with my girls this weekend (and hopefully catching up on some sleep).

Got the Red Pen Out

The printer's proofs of the winter issue came in this afternoon, which is our last chance to catch any mistakes before printing begins. Always so exciting to get to this point in the process and get a glimpse at the final product.

Tonight is the first really cold night we've had this season (well, really cold by Floridian standards) so I made sure to put the girls in their warm jammies and snuggle them up under the covers.

Play Date

We drove up to Gainesville today for a play date at my dear friend Rachel's house. Our kids enjoyed playing together and we enjoyed catching up. Thanks for having us, Rachel!
