Bubbles!

Johnson & Johnson Vapor Bath to be exact. Darcy is still fighting a bad cold and since you can't give little ones cough syrup, I've been using every "vapor" product I can think of to soothe her cough -- vapor bath, vapor rub, vaporizer with vaposteam. My house smells quite mentholated!

Today was the first chilly day we've had this fall. I celebrated by wearing my boots, a rarity in Florida (which makes it feel special).

Evie and Darcy got to give their costumes a test run at their day care's Fall Festival this evening. We had a good time, though I didn't get any pictures as Darcy wanted to be held the whole time. My arm is killing me! She is getting so big!

Pumpkin Decorating Part One

Today we completed part one of our pumpkin decorating project: finger painting the pumpkins. Both of the girls thoroughly enjoyed this (despite the expression on Evie's face above; and yes, she is wearing a tutu). Tomorrow, once the paint is dry, we'll finish the project. Stay tuned ...

Watering the Flowers

In the last few weeks, this one (who is eating an animal cracker she threw a fit to get) has had a cold, then a stomach virus and now an ear infection (in both ears). And cold and flu season is just getting started. Sigh.

Always Wear Sunscreen

It's hard to tell in this picture, but I have this very odd streaky sunburn on my forehead and around my eyebrows from our excursion at Hunsader Farms on Saturday. My moisturizer has SPF, but I've learned the hard way that that is not the same thing as a good coating of actual sunscreen.

Lesson: ALWAYS wear sunscreen!

Finally

After seven months in this house, I finally (with the help of my dad) have some art on the walls. This one in my bedroom was the first. We still have a lot to hang, but it's a start!

For the past couple of nights, Evie has worn her hair in a ponytail. My mom thinks it's because that is how I wear my hair in the evenings. Whatever the reason it's cute.

My dad made us oatmeal for breakfast and even did little happy faces with fruit like he used to do when we were kids. Made me happy. :-)

Spaghetti

My mom made us her spaghetti for dinner tonight, which was a big hit with everyone. That is a big deal where Evie and Darcy are concerned as they are very picky eaters.

When we were little, my siblings and I would stuff ourselves with Mom's spaghetti, like to the point where we were in pain. Yes, it is that good!

Grandma and Grandpa are staying with us for a few days. Hence why Evie is eating ice cream at 8:30 p.m.
