Bunk Bed Injury

The girls had a friend over and had been playing upstairs by themselves for a while when Evie and their friend, Gigi, came down to say they had been jumping off the top bunk and Darcy had hurt her foot. Now, jumping off the top bunk is a big no-no in our house as it quite high. When ice did not fix Darcy's injury, we knew something was up so I took her to the Urgent Care Center. Sure enough she had broken her foot. Blake and I took turns staying home with her until she could get in to see the orthopedic surgeon and get a proper cast. Thankfully, all she needed was a walking boot for a few weeks, which was such a relief! Hopefully the girl have learned their lesson about jumping off the top bunk!

Today, Grammy and I took the girls shopping for some cold weather clothes, which of course turned into lunch at Red Robin, seeing Santa, a ride on the carousel and a fashion show when we got home. Thank you Grammy for such a fun day -- and for all the girls' new winter clothes!
