Evie's First Glasses!

Evelyn has been complaining that she's having trouble seeing the white board at school and also didn't do well on her vision screening at her annual check up, so I took her to JCPenney Optical today to get a proper eye exam and pick out some frames. She looked so adorable in all of them that we had a hard time deciding, but we finally narrowed it down to two pairs. Since they were running a good promotion, we were able to get both!

Meili's Birthday Party

We had a blast on Saturday celebrating our friend Meili's birthday! It was a pool party so there was swimming, of course, but when a storm rolled in we did crafts and played a few games. Happy birthday to sweet Meili!

First Day of School 2016

School started early this year (almost two weeks), which kinda stunk on the front end of the year, but will be nice in May when the girls are done by Memorial Day. Evie is in third grade and Darcy (my baby!) started Kindegarten.

I took the day off to spend the last day of summer break with the girls. It was a rainy day so we stayed in our PJs and watched the Olympics all afternoon. This sweetness was totally spontaneous:
